Roles & Responsibilities:
- Raising Awareness:
GSSH cells organize workshops, seminars, and discussions to educate students, faculty, and staff about gender equality, sexual harassment, and related legal frameworks.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
They contribute to the formulation of gender-related policies, ensuring they align with local, national, and international guidelines.
- Complaint Handling:
GSSH cells establish a confidential and accessible mechanism for receiving and investigating complaints of gender-based discrimination or harassment, providing support and guidance to the complainant.
- Prevention:
They devise and implement strategies to prevent harassment, including developing codes of conduct and promoting a respectful campus culture.
- Support Services:
GSSH cells offer counseling, advice on legal options, and guidance on accessing support services for those experiencing harassment.
- Investigation and Resolution:
They conduct fair and impartial investigations into complaints, taking appropriate action against offenders.
- Monitoring and Evaluation:
GSSH cells regularly review and update policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
- Advocacy:
They advocate for gender equality and advocate for policies that protect the rights of women and marginalized groups.
